Hi Roger,

Just a few pieces of advice:
1) Two days in Jerusalem really isn't enough. I think, at minimum, you need 3-4 days there.

2) Some lesser-known places worth visiting:
-Ein Ovdat- lush desert oasis near Sde Boker
-Hazan Caves- underground city from Roman times near Ashqelon
-Ayalon Institute- underground munitions factory dating from the times of the British Mandate-- very interesting; in Rehovot
-Tzipori- extensively preserved Roman city in northern Israel
-Caesaria- somewhat well known- beautifully preserved Roman port between Netanya and Haifa
-Netanya- great beaches; lots of French people there- feels like a piece of the Riviera in the Middle East
-Tel Dan/Banyas- beautiful natural parks/waterfalls at the base of the Golan Heights
-Migdal Nimrod- crusader fortress built on the side of a mountain in the Golan hiehghts; stunning views of northern Israel
-Abu Ghosh- Christian Arab village outside Jerusalem that is home to the most famous humous/felafel in all of Israel
-Acco- Crusader fort that is very well preserved and has an Oriental feel
-Neve Tzedek/Yaffo- beautiful sections of Tel Aviv with great food and shopping
-Bahai Shrine- Haifa; stunning gardens and views of Mediterranean Sea
