Will a Boost Mobile SIM, work in a Nextel phone?
The Boost Mobile Sim is a 64k card. SIM ID: 000825705793300 and Part: SIMGBK015R. When Boost Sim Card is installed in Nextel Motorola Buzz+ ic602 phone, the message onscreen reads; "Insert correct SIM. SIM card does not match stored account information."
SIM card that was previously in Nextel Moto. phone is not active now but this is the info for it. 128k SIM card, SIM ID: 000815842400330 and Part: SIMGUS103R.
This is the information for the Nextel phone that I need the Boost SIM card to work in. I was curious to see what would happen if I inserted the Nextel SIM into my Boost Mobile Phone (Motorola i425). I received the message: Enter Special Code Now:

It will not work.
The ic602 is a dual Mode Cdma/Iden Phone. ic in ic602 stands for iDEN/CDMA. The i425 is an iDEN only phone.
The ic602 has a security feature called SIM Pairing which prevents a user from swapping any SIM besides the account holders SIM into an iDEN/CDMA Dual-Mode unit to protect the CDMA voice & data account from being used.
Additional SIM pairing information:
* Protects a user’s account as well as their data.
* Protects a user from mixing a handset with one user’s CDMA account with a different user’s SIM; and hence, the Nextel Dispatch account.
* Ties a subscriber’s Nextel account to the handset with their CDMA account.
* The SIM is paired to the phone during the initial power-up of the phone.
