Interior Designer’s Style on a Card

Interior design is a creative profession that often involves numerous client meetings, marketing efforts and design coordination meetings. Before the actual process of producing the contract documents and drawings begin, interior designers just like any service provider, needs to market and sell the service. In these preliminary stages, interior designers need the right tools to aid in marketing. For a highly graphic and art inclined profession, printed marketing materials such as business cards and portfolios serve as crucial tools of impressing  and signing on the client. Below are elements to consider when interior designers print a business card.

•    Business card sizecards-The size of the card is important to consider because of handiness. The industry standard size is 2x3.5 inches as this size normally fits in any card holder or wallet. Card size must be easy to carry around but should not stick out awkwardly. Interior designers can be a little liberated with their business card design and take advantage of sizes, 0.5 inches bigger in order to be distinctive. Online printers usually offer a choice of standard or custom sizes.

•    Business card design-Design to an interior designer is not a problem. Interior designers who possess a clearly distinctive and strong design principle or style can certainly express this on a business card. For example, the card can feature a signature chair, table or accessory. It can feature details such as cabinet, linen or upholstery patterns. It’s ideal to use both sides and include information such as projects done, location of projects, awards, distinctions, certifications and licensure numbers.
