Samsung Blue Earth is not all in to the earth saving theme alone. It offers users functionality that is suited to the needs of average people. With this Smart Phone, you can stay connected with everyone whether you are at home, in the office or in a leisure nature camp. It has the basics that Mobile Phone offers like text and multimedia messaging, email, voice and video calls.

This cute phone gives its users the option to connect through GPRS, EDGE, GSM, HSPA, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, and USB to keep in constant communication with regular contacts.

This phone provides you convenience because you can check on loved ones through the web or by calling anywhere you are. It is just like having a handy PC right in your pocket. The smartphone can even store up to 2,000 contacts with the 180MB ROM that can be expanded to16GB with a MicroSD Memory Card. It’s not only the contact numbers you can save, you can add email and street addresses as well as business phone numbers.

In addition to that, the phone uses the TouchWiz user interface so that you can customize the home screen and easily launch frequently used apps as well. Included in the phone is an FM tuner so you can listen to your favorite radio station, a QVGA video recorder, a 3 megapixel fixed-focus camera to capture moments, a Google application for Gmail and Google Maps in case you get lost, a file manager and document viewer for your documents, a USB for mass storage and Exchange ActiveSync for PC syncing. The basic mobile apps are the voice recorder, calendar, calculator, alarm clock, world clock, timer, stopwatch, memo pad, task list, a unit and currency converter.

Most of the solar devices badly needs a makeover but for this new smart phone that won’t be necessary. Setting the standard high for future solar mobile phones, this smart phone has mixed functionality with style perfectly. Blue in color, the phone has a casual and smart look. The properly placed black solar panel at the back of the Phone Not only adds usefulness to the device but also gives a sleek two-toned finish. With the 3 inch wide capacitive high definition Touch Screen, you will surely appreciate viewing your photos in the 256,000 colors display.

One of a Kind Find

Surely this phone won’t be called eco-phone if it doesn’t have the “save the environment” feature. Starting from the handset to the package, the phone is made from recycled materials. Though it may be hard to believe, the phone is made from old water bottle plastic. While under production, tests show that there are no emissions of harmful substances too. Of course, the box is made from recycled paper too.

Energy saving people can also make use of the “Eco Mode” profile which cuts down on energy consumption by automatically putting the phone on low energy setting when using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and by reducing the brightness and timing the backlight. The smartphone runs an “AccuWeather” application and a unique “Eco Walk” application that counts how much carbon dioxide was reduced in the air and how many trees were saved with your steps.
