HTC, Nokia, RIM make a rapid response to the antenna problem provoked by Apple

Recently, Samsung Electronics said that though the iPhone 4 of Apple emergences a large area of antenna problem, it was Apple's own problem to a certain extent, other manufacturers should not be involved, therefore, what Apple has done is indeed unfair. In addition, Samsung also revealed that Samsung has never received collective complaints from users because of the antenna problem, the deed of Apple that divert people's attention to other companies is a slander to other companies.

 

Samsung said that our product of Omnia II smartphones didn't have the signal problem which lead up to a large number of complaints from the consumers, what Apple said did not  have much proof. Samsung, the argument is against the statement that Apple has mentioned about Samsung smartphones in the conference about antenna problem of iPhone 4. Besides Samsung, the BlackBerry manufacturer also made a fierce rebuttal to Apple, the company's executives made a statement in an e-mail, what Apple has said about the signal problem of BlackBerry was just a excuse to escape from the antenna design problem of iPhone 4, what Apple has done was a slander to BlackBerry, this was unacceptable.

 

In addition, Apple planned to announce iPhone 4 Smart Phone on this month in South Korea at first, but the South Korean telecom operator KT said that Apple has put off the released date of iPhone 4, the date was postponed to 1 or 2 months, because Apple needed to conduct more tests to iPhone 4, but this is because the iPhone 4 was added more new technology, so the test time was longer than we expected. As for this statement, many industry insiders expressed doubt about it, they thought that Apple was conducting a correlation internal test for the antenna problem. RIM: BlackBerry smart phones don't need to rely on the phone shell to maintain normal calls

 

The President and Co-CEO of RIM Mike Lazaridis had made a responses to Apple on 17th of this month, in the official responses, Mike Lazaridis showed his feeling of anger: It's certain that BlackBerry smart phones don't need to rely on the phone shell to maintain normal calls. Since Apple has made such a design decision, they should be responsible for it, rather than trying to make RIM and other cell phone manufacturers falling into the same condition as Apple.

 

HTC companies didn't make an official statement like Nokia and RIM to respond to Apple, but HTC's global public relations manager Eric Lin made a response to the Cell Phone Signal issues of HTC Droid Eris. Eric Lin said: Steve Jobs said that only 0.55% of the iPhone 4 users complained about the phone antenna or signal problem, but we only have 0.016% of users complain the signal problem of Droid Eris. In other words, the signal problem of iPhone 4 is 34.4 times higher than HTC Droid Eris.

Up to now,besides RIM, Apple, HTC, there are some foreign medias have also expressed some views on the matter, but the Samsung still has not made any response. The New York Times said that: Many people look forward to see Apple CEO Steve Jobs will solemnly apologize, but he made the antenna problem of iPhone 4 into a marketing campaign. The Wall Street Journal said: in the face of the complaints about antenna design defects, Apple CEO Steve Jobs makes a defend, he argued that all the smart phones had the signal reception problem, and further said the problem was grossly exaggerated. Infoworld: the approach is right, but the 15-minute excuse about the signal problem of Steve Jobs made the right approach does not seemed so good. MarketWatch: the deed that Apple accept this issue is commendable, but when Jobs said antenna problem was greatly exaggerated by the media, his action was still full of arrogance. As many analysts predicted, consumers will get a security cover and an incomplete apology.
