Can I use Black Berry Messenger on a Cruise?
I have a blackberry curve (Verizon Wireless) with no international data package. I was wondering if I could still use bbm without being charged a ridiculous amount of money on my cruise. I am going to key west and the bahamas (Royal Carribean cruise line).
I've heard that if your phone is on and your near a cruise ship, your service is provided through they're towers and its really expensive.
You heard correctly. I went to Nassau and messages were $4.95 each and voice calls were $7.95 a min and this was about two years ago. Needless to say I turned my phone off!
