The Motorola Milestone 3G slider handset provides both QWERTY and virtual keyboards

The Motorola Milestone is a 3G slider handset with a Full Qwerty keyboard as well as a gesture recognition and a 3.7 inch TFT touchscreen providing virtual keypads. With a location based and multi-window full HTML web browser and excellent video quality for both recording and playback, it is doesn't compromise on features.

The phone runs the Android operating system (version 2.1), which enables users to constantly add new and innovative applications, widgets and plugins via Android Market to personalise their phone and what it does. This is due to the unique open source development that the platform offers to software developers. The handset provides the OS with a fast 550 MHz processor to support it.

The Milestone offers a comprehensive range of location based services, besides the web browser, the Motonav supported by the built -in aGPS provides turn-by-turn navigation for the user on foot, or as a handsfree in-car system aided further by a trial version of Lane Guidance, and several other trial features. Multimedia is offered through the Music Player, and video playback capabilities, as well as the ability to use the phone s an alarm clock or digital photo frame.

The handset comes with an impressive 5 Megapixel Camera which offers DVD quality recording, as well as image stabilisation, 4 times digital zoom and dual LED flash support for photo shooting.Connectivity is offered with Stereo Bluetooth 2.1 particularly good for using a wireless stereo Bluetooth Headset instead of using the 3.5mm jack connection to listen to music or video soundtracks. Data transmission is kept fast through a USB 2.0 high-speed Micro USB connection available also.

Meanwhile, the Milestone through its WiFi connectivity provides the Web on a larger screen than many other handsets, and with greater clarity.In addition to this it offers full search capabilities for anything, from anywhere through Google search. Google Talk presents a fast and easy instant messaging service, while Google Mail is also supported with push functionality, along with Exchange mail (Microsoft), and all emails, messages and social networking updates and statuses such as through Facebook or Twitter Tweets are available all from one place on-screen.

The Motorola Milestone has an impressive array of features alongside its large, easy to use touchscreen, while still offering the full QWERTY option. Its camera and recording capabilities provide an excellent opportunity to produce great quality photos and videos with ease, and quickly and instantly share them with friends through the instantaneous messaging and social networking provisions the handset has to offer.
