Forgo the Pierce, Embrace the Clip

Pain is beauty.  Well, that isn't necessarily true for everyone.  Some people have decided that beauty is not worth the pain.  In the case of jewelry, these people are lucky because of their options.  Weighing the alternative of clip on earrings against pierced earrings, there really isn't that big of a difference.  In terms of style, clip on, magnetic and screwback earrings are all believable, fashionable ways for those without pierced ears to have the same look.      

Half the battle of piercing your ears is getting over the fear because the pain really isn't that bad.  Many equate it to a hard pinching of the skin.  The actual piercing is not the only thing you need to be worried about.  If you are not strict with your cleaning and maintenance of your new pierced ears, you might run into a nasty infection. 

Clip on earrings are the safest way to wear earrings.  They do not go through your earlobe; therefore there is not the same risk of infection as there is with a pierced earring.  An infection can be very painful and uncomfortable.  A way to steer clear of the risk of an infected ear is to exclusively wear clip on earrings.  Since you only place them on the outside of the earlobe, you are not putting metal directly through your skin. 

Many people are able to handle the pain of the pierce, while taking care of and cleaning their earlobes, however there are a number of people who would rather not have to worry about all those other steps.  Just clip on a pair of earrings and be ready to run out the door. 

No one wants a painful ear, especially as the result of a beauty regimen.  Try a pair of non-pierced earrings to see what they're all about.  You might just fall in love with the idea of clipping an earring to the outside of your ear, instead of through it.
