The Apple Iphone 4 Is An Impressive All Rounder
It's summer, and for gadget and Apple fans everywhere, this means only one thing; the release of the latest version of the manufacturer's legendary smartphone, the Apple iPhone. The Apple iPhone 4 gives us the biggest overhaul to the range so far, in terms of both features and appearance.
Appearance:
The Apple iPhone 4 has been given a stylish facelift, and the most radical change to its appearance so far from the original 3G and 3GS. The profile has been given a somewhat sleek finish, with slightly more angular corners. At just 9.3mm it is one of the slimmest phones on the market. Available in both Black and White colour variants, the iPhone 4 is already seen as a must have by many gadget enthusiasts, as well as fans of the technology giant's products. The classic iPhone design features are still present, with the single home button placed conveniently beneath the large touchscreen, with a 3.5mm headset jack and lock button at the top, with volume and mute keys on the side. The side of the phone accommodates a metal band which actually doubles up as the antenna, and gives it a sophisticated and modern appearance. Top quality materials give the Apple iPhone 4 a feeling of rigidity and reliability and an overall premium user experience, and users really know they are holding something special in their hand.

The retina display is one of the most technologically advanced touchscreens available, and gives unparalleled levels of display quality. A resolution of 960x 640 pixels allows the screen to easily display HD video and photos in all its glory, displaying up to 16 million colours. The touch aspect of the phone also gives an impressive means of navigating the iPhone iOS4 user interface.
A front facing VGA camera allows users with other iPhone 4s to carry out video calling over Wi-Fi connections, with a live video stream allowing users to see each other as they talk in realtime. The main camera is a 5MP autofocus camera, which for the first time on an iPhone offers an LED flash, so low lighting conditions no longer pose an obstacle when taking photos in darker locations. Geo-tagging utilises GPS to automatically record the location at which a photo was taken, and can be displayed on a map, with the photos represented by pins on the map. To view the photos, all that is required is a touch of the screen.
An Apple A4 processor (1GHz) gives the iPhone 4 ample computing power to handle demanding applications with ease. The quality of this processor cannot be disputed based on the fact that Apple chose to use the same piece of kit within their revolutionary Ipad.
As you would expect from a new version of the Apple iPhone, a fast internet connection makes surfing the web a piece of cake, whilst the AppStore provides endless possibilities in terms of productivity, entertainment and customisation.
