Making My Own iPhone Case?

I have a desire to make a case for my iPhone, but I have a very specific plan in mind. I want to buy this case;

I would not use hot glue on the silk fabric, as it most likely will seep through, discolor the fabric due to the high heat, or create an uneven application where the glue comes out thicker and hardens.
