The Canadian Gold Coin Maple Leaf - A Nearly Pure Investment
The Canadian Gold Coin Maple Leaf is one of the purest available forms of gold in the world today. Minted at a purity of 99.99%, these coins are made using gold sourced only from Canadian mines. The $2 face value coin introduced and produced only in the year 1994 now has special significance for collectors. However, the most popular Canadian Gold Coin Maple Leaf ever to be minted was the One Million Dollar Coin. Introduced as a promotional measure to increase the visibility of the Canadian Gold Coin Maple Leaf in the international market in 2007, the One Million Dollar Coin was created using 100 kilograms of 99.999 % pure gold. While the Royal Canadian Mint had introduced it as a one off, orders for the same led to the coin being made on custom orders and being sold for a value of $2.5 million to $3 million.
