USB Cables - From Pins to Ports
When a connection between several devices and a host controller, which is usually a personal computer, is needed it is most commonly established with USB. USB, Universal Serial Bus, was invented to replace serial and parallel ports. However, this cable has exceeded its intentional purpose. USB cables have taken the place of aged connectors once used. In the past when a printer or mouse needed to be connected to a computer a search would take place behind the motherboard for the correct symbol and place to plug the cord into.
