Laptop Lcd Screen Material: Al-Mg alloy

Laptop Computer shell is the directed protection of the Laptop Lcd screen which can also affect the cooling function, weight, appearance and so on. One friend has bought an Acer Laptop with 5050 LCD screen. He saw some information of the laptop shells and curious about his laptop shell material. So do you know the material of your laptop shell? Here shows you one of them: Aluminum-magnesium alloy. That doesn't mean this Acer 5050 LCD screen made by AL-MG alloy.

Al-Mg alloy is mainly composed by aluminums mixing with a small amount of magnesium or other metal material to enhance its hardness. Because of the character of the metal, its thermal conductivity and strength is particularly important and outstanding. It's very hard but with light weight. And also its low density, better heat dissipation, strong resistance can fully satisfy the 3C products requirements: highly integrated, light and thin, miniaturization, and collision-proof and the electromagnetic shielding and heat dissipation. It's three time the hardness of the conventional plastic shell but only one third weight. This material is usually used in high-grade or the smaller size or ultra-thin notebook shell.

Moreover, the silver magnesium alloy shells make product more luxurious, beautiful and easy to dye. And it can be personalized into pink or Light Blue. As this Acer 5050 LCD screen , the color looks so gracious. And the young people and ladies are fond of this color.

However, it has its disadvantages. That is the high cost. And it's hard to shape, comparing with ABS. So laptops generally only use the aluminum-magnesium alloy on the Top Cover instead of the whole case.

If you want to know the material of your laptop shell, you can search in the internet. Here just introduce the features of each type. As this 5050 LCD screen , I have no idea of the material of its shell. But it looks vey beautiful for me.
