Review Nokia 6700 Slide
The Nokia 6700 Slide is the latest release ‘non-smartphone' from Nokia, that is fast becoming one of the must have phones. We have literally had orders on this phone for weeks prior to release. There are many things that make it so popular, it would be a very hard task to pin point just one.
While designed for the ‘ordinary' Mobile Phone user, it utilises the Nokia smartphone S60 operating system used in all Nokia Nseries and Eseries handsets. The Nokia 6700 Slide Let's first take a look at the basics. It comes in several different colours including: aluminium, purple, red, blue, pink, and, green – however we currently only have aluminium and purple available. The phone itself is a sleek slider design that not only boasts style, but also comes in a compact form. If you are one of those people who want the sleekest phones on the market, then this one's for you.
The 6700 Slide is a good size, measuring 95 x 46 x 16mm, and a fairly standard weight at just 110g. The screen is a bright, crisp, 16 million colour TFT display, QVGA resolution, but a bit on the small side at just 2.2 inches.
The camera on the Nokia 6700 Slide is one of the most powerful Nokia cameras yet, at a very impressive five mega pixels, which is a lot higher than most mobile phones of the same style. With a dedicated capture key, the phone provides easy access to the camera to capture those priceless moments. With an LED flash and an auto zoom feature, the Nokia 6700 Slide is fierce competition for many digital cameras. The home screen in a simple yet convenient design; providing you with one click access to your favourite contacts. They are displayed with a picture enabling you to call your friends in an instant. With the Ovi Share feature you can share all of your photos with friends and family at the click of a button - a very impressive feature for such an affordable mobile phone.
The internet function on the Nokia 6700 Slide is highly impressive, with many different features for you to experiment with. For a start, you can stream videos from the internet from popular streaming sites such as YouTube. This means that you can take your favourite videos with you on the go and also share them with your friends.
The fantastic email function that is pre installed on the Nokia 6700 Slide allows you to check your emails on the move. You can set up an Ovi email account, or, alternatively, use third party email clients such as Hotmail and Gmail. As well as this you can use the mobile internet to access your favourite social networking sites such as Bebo, MySpace, and Facebook. The text messaging feature is also very impressive, with a conversation feature that makes it easier to keep track of any text message conversations that you are having.
