Samsung Cell Phones 2010

Samsung Wave with Bada OS

On of the successful smartphones that Samsung introduced this year was the Samsung Wave S8500.  The Samsung Wave was announced at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona and was the first smartphone to run on the new Bada operating system. Bada is a fast en user friendly operating system which allows you to easily navigate through all the menus. The Samsung Wave S8500 is a stunning smartphone with high end features, such as HD video recording, a 1GHz Samsung-own Hummingbird processor, a super-slim chassis, the latest Super AMOLED screen and multi-touch support right out of the box. The phone was an instant success and it only took about a month before the Samsung Wave had surpassed one million units sold worldwide.

Samsung Galaxy S

The Samsung Galaxy S is another high end smartphone introduced by Samsung. Where the Wave runs on the new Bada operating system the Galaxy is running on the very popular Android operating system. The Samsung Galaxy S packs a stunning 4 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, 1 GHz processor, 5 Megapixel Camera, Gps Navigation and of course 3G support and WiFi for the ultimate connectivity. There is almost nothing that this phone can't do making the Samsung Galaxy S one of the best smartphones in the market.

 

Samsung and Windows Phone 7

After the introduction of Windows Phone 7 to the general public, Samsung also announced its first smartphone running on the Windows Phone 7 operating system. The Samsung Omnia 7 is again a high end smartphone featuring a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and a sleek but cool industrial design. Underneath the impressive design you will find al the specifications you'd expect from a flagship device, with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, GPS, a media player, 3G support and 802.11n Wi-Fi.  The Samsung Omnia 7 has all the features to become a real success but until now the sales are not as high as hoped as the general public seems to be hesitating when buying a phone running on a Windows operating system.

 

So overall 2010 has been quite an interesting year for Samsung, as the company showed an impressive line-up of high end products. We are looking forward to 2011 and what that year will bring.
