Viewsonic G-Tablet with 10" Multi-Touch Lcd Screen, Android OS 2.2

Before I ordered my Viewsonic G-Tablet I read hundreds of reviews, and tested a dozen different models. I could not be happier with the purchase. The software update (12/23/2010) from Viewsonic is a must. After that update this tablet is every bit as good as the Ipad. Android 2.2 is great and Viewsonic Viewsonic G-Tablet. has a link to their marketplace with lots of apps - many of them free. With some minor tweaks you have full access to everything in the Official Google Marketplace and other Android app sites as well. Tons of free apps.

The original tap n' tap interface was a disaster. It was improved with the last software update but gives an option to run as "Classic Home" which is the standard Android interface we're all used to. Works Great. No need to use anything else.

Hardware is outstanding and expandable. Better specs than an iPad. The Gtablet comes with 16GB of internal memory and currently supports microSD cards up to 32GB. I expect it will support 64+GB cards as they are released. Wifi works flawlessly, HDMI is ideal for watching movies while traveling. (assuming the hotel has a decent HDTV) My only complaint is the screen viewing angle isn't super wide. Slightly annoying when trying to show something to someone else or watch together, but a "negative" that I actually appreciate while sitting on an airplane next to a nosy neighbor. The other downside is that I'm now addicted to Angry Birds. (free with the update)

To sum it up I was a skeptic when I ordered but open to trying it. Best purchase I made in the past 5 years. I'm extremely happy with Viewsonic G-Tablet. and wouldn't trade it. It absolutely outperforms other tablets on the market.
