My favorite Birthday gift

Received this Yoga Mat along with the Yoga Sak. What a great Birthday gift from my wonderful husband. 
I have the hope color and it truly inspires me. Love the focus Icon on the top of the mat really helps when doing my standing poses. 

I followed the care instructions and it does help. STill slip a little until mat breaks in while doing hot yoga, but just bought the rosin and it helps a lot.

Price is great, but......

The mat is great. And you really can't beat the price. I followed the directions and washed the mat and let it air dry. However there is still a bit of a chemical smell to it. And I do slip a little bit when I'm in down dog. I don't know why, but the mats I used to rent at the yoga studio; I don't slip on them and they don't have a funny smell. So I'm hoping that in time the smell will go away and I'll stop slipping in down dog.

Pleased with my first yoga mat

I signed up for my first Pilates class and used the mat provided by the class on the first day. After realizing that it was covered with other people's perspiration and plenty of floor dust, I decided I would like to order my own mat. I bought this mat based on the great reviews it received and I have to say that it meets all of my expectations: thick, odor-free, and non-slip. I have also used it for a PiYo class and for daily stretching and strengthing excercises. I washed it as recommended after receiving it and hung it up to dry. I have a front load washer so it washed up very nicely...not sure how it works in a top load machine, but none of the reviews I read mentioned any problems. I bought the mat in the Solar color and it was a little more muted in color than what shows on the product page, but I still like the color.

Love This Mat!

I was very happy with this purchase. It is very comfortable compared to my other mat. My palms do not hurt when I practice on this mat. I keep mine stored under a throw rug in the room where I practice and there was no smell after the first day...just needed to be aired out. I wipe it down regularly and have had no problems!

Good mat!

As a male, I sweat a lot, and although this mat doesn't *prevent* me from slipping, the company's rosin bag sure does. I received this mat as a gift and I do think it's great otherwise. I received instructions on washing and caring for it and it seems like the company cares about what I think. Hence why I'm writing the review. I recommend this company.
