CECT i68++ Review - Made In China iPhone Lookalike
The i68++ is a newer version in the Sciphone production line. It could be said to be almost the same as the previous generation i68+, but owing to ongoing upgrades in components (allowing cheaper production), is able to be offered for a cheaper price.
The Sciphone i68++, like the hiphone and some others you may have heard of, are Chinese produced "Shanzhai" (clone) phones that attempt to showoff the basic look of popular mobile phones and then play with some aspects (usually a downgrade in price mostly due to components, not to mention having interesting new specs or features not seen originally).
This new version i68++ is not the worst phone you could buy, being carrier unlocked, with quite a responsive touchscreen control, a very unexpectedly Good Screen resolution, not to be despised playback of MP4 and MP3 files, the option to surf the net using WAP, uploadable Java apps, as well as the always handy ability to pair with Bluetooth headsets for driving purposes.
On the other hand there are is the bad including, its digital camera/ Video Camera mix that unfortunately give a low end look and feel to pics and vids you make as well as not many ways to improve the pictures with options, the UI is a little tricky to get used to, it an unfortunate lack of no physical QWERTY keyboard, and very annoyingly, it won't allow you to access the internet at 3G (let alone EDGE) speed or with wifi. All around, this is a ok purchase for a phone from China, however, at US$73.79 (included with shipping), it is a less expensive alternative than the highly priced brand names with so many of the same specs and offerings.
