Verizon Wireless phone to fit my needs?
I want a phone From Verizon that does the following:
NOT a smartphone(windows)
ok/decent media player
decent screen for watching vids or browsing internet(vcast plan)
A keyboard is nice and all but not an essential.
Speaker and bluetooth
Camera is nice to have but not necessary.
Which phone works?
Not a Razr or chocolate also.
I just researched the heck out of this topic. The LG8350 is well-reviewed for everything you need, but it doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard and it's a little bland looking. The LG Chocolate is the same, but is more stylish.
I ended up getting the Samsung Sch-740 because it does have a QWERTY keyboard (even though it's no bigger than a Flip Phone). LG chocolate was a close second, but I wanted to try the QWERTY keyboard, and I read that the Samsung can view HTML webpages as opposed to just WAP (I'm not convinced of this, though, because a lot of places say the voyager is the first Verizon phone to be able to view HTML pages).
FWIW, I didn't get the LG Env because it's too bulky. The KRZR looks cool, but it gets crap reviews by people who used it.
With "New Every Two", the LG8350 and chocolate are free, and the SCH-740 is $30.
